Running older Motorola CPS on modern operating systems like Windows 10 or Windows 11 often requires running the application in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP SP3) and executing it as an Administrator . Required Hardware Setup

Connect the programming cable to your computer's USB/Serial port. Plug the RJ45 connector into the GM360 microphone jack. Power on the radio. Launch the Motorola CPS software. Click (or press the standard read icon).

Some versions of CPS R06.12.x require a DLL patch to bypass obsolete RIB (Radio Interface Box) detection.
