The story centers on a middle-class apartment complex where a middle school student, Yeo-seon (played by Kim Sae-ron), goes missing after failing to return home from school on a rainy evening. Ten agonizing days later, her body is found, unceremoniously stuffed inside a red suitcase. The killer is one of her neighbors, a seemingly ordinary and reclusive man living in the basement.
